THE BIG EVENT is here. It's time for our VBS Kickoff that will be happening at the church this Saturday, from 12-5pm. There will be Games, activities, fun and fellowship. This is for kids of all ages ( that includes you parents).
Oh yea did we mention there will be FOOD. We also will be giving out free gifts to those who register early. Make sure you're not left out and come and join us. For directions to the church click on the welcome link here.

Rev it Up!! It’s time to turn up the throttle for VBS. The official date is July 11-15. for ages 2 - adults. If you haven’t signed up yet for this event please be sure to see Tina Scruggs. Help is needed in all areas.

Just as you can't run a race without fuel, neither can you run a VBS without supplies. Look below and see what is needed. For any questions, see Mia Baynham and Staci Ridgeway

Ponytail Beads - red, black, white, green, yellow
Seed Beads (small enough to fit on a safety pin) - white, light blue, orange, dark blue, black
Safety Pins ( 1 1/8" and 2 ")

Church Picnic
Attention members, set aside the date. Saturday, July 23 for our annual CFC picnic. Stayed tuned for more info.
The “EACH” Evangelistic Outreach Program is in need of Volunteers to disperse mobile medical units.  If you can help please let Sims so they know how many able bodies that are available.  Also training will be taking place on:

CFC members are being asked to pray for our commitment and involvement in the “EACH” Evangelistic Outreach Program. This program will last for 40 days and begins after Resurrection Sunday in April. If you are interested in getting involved or need more info contact Sims Friday.

Members are being asked to begin praying for this year’s VBS program which will be: July 11-15th. We are in need of resources, staff and volunteers.

The Cedar Point trip will take place in the month of August. The cost is $50 dollars, we are accepting monthly payments please see Tony or Sherrie.

The 2011 Michigan Department of Transportation’s Metro Region Youth Development and Mentoring Program will be accepting applications via US Mail April 4, 2011 until April 30, 2011.

Positions Available: Crew Workers, Coordinators, Supervisors and Bag Pick-up Drivers.
Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Bag Pick-up Drivers must be 18 years old and older with valid driver’s license with 6 points or less, resume, and if in college, they must provide a copy of college transcript.
High school students must provide current report card or transcript verifying a 2.5 in each course, recommendation letter from school counselor, teacher or administrator and blank work permit (only top portion filled out).

Applications are available at the Tower Center Marketplace, 15400 Grand River at Greenfield, Detroit MI 48227. From 2pm until 5pm, Monday-Friday.
This includes Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and St. Clair counties.
